What a amazing marketing campaign!!! Place it in a fast “add on” item link to save for later. While you are checking out and have “how to draw” in the title and like so a lot of others, I falsely created the assumption that this was a how to draw book I could give to my kids. I was generous on the rating because ultimately, it’s on me as a consumer to read all the info and had I dug deeper, I would have discovered the real nature of this book which is blank pages with suggestions of things to draw. Fool me once............😅
Bought this for my very artistic 13 yo daughter. She's forever asking, "What should I draw?" I crossed my fingers when I ordered this, as we've tried a lot of other books to inspire her that didn't. When I gave it to her, I was expecting a lukewarm response. However, as she thumbed through the book, she started giggling and smiling and couldn't turn the pages quick enough. I even got a spontaneous hug. She ran to the door when her dad got home to present him the book. And I think that the 642 options may just hold her inspired for a few weeks! ;) Any book that can charm a 13 yo girl is a keeper in my book!
My daughter saw this in a shop and thought it was beautiful neat. I found it on Amazon and purchased this as a stocking stuffer. It is a little book and the pages inside give ideas and zone to draw things on a very little scale. I thought this would be amazing practice for my daughter as she gets stuck sometimes in "her style" without branching out and she can struggle with proportions. She hasn't used it yet but as soon as she gets some down time I'm sure she will. This is a beautiful thick book and each page has zone for drawing 3 to 4 items.
I used to draw when I was younger and have been wanting to obtain back into it. This is a amazing small book that tells you what to draw and gives you zone to draw it. It's little and would easily fit into a purse. It has some really creative prompts. I really love it!
I did think it was going to be small, but not necessarily pocket sized. I was expecting maybe half the size of the regular ver of this book, but I loved all the prompts and couldn't be happier. The only heavy problem is that I got it from another seller, the condition was supposed to be very good, it was more likely 'acceptable' and at its best 'good'. I expected there to be writing at least on one to two pages, but not throughout the first half of the book. I wouldn't be so upset if it was all pencil but half of what was written was pen. I really didn't wish to place in the effort into the process of returning it, so I glued blank pieces of paper to the ones that were marked and just rewrote the prompts.
I am mildly disappointed with this book. Neat ideas but the book is less than half the size of the original, and it is the same price. In my mind $10 for a blank book is already a stretch anyway, but a little book like this? I am not keen on the little size, it is awkward for bigger hands, I understand that it is about little things, and it is quirky and cute but that does not necessarily translate into practical and enjoyable.
I should have read the reviews before I purchased this - from the description I thought this book had small drawings to copy/learn from to improve your drawing/doodling. Unfortunately this is basically a little book with words of things to draw and zone to draw them in. That doesn't support folks like me who are horrible drawers and need some concrete inspiration to look at.
I thought this would have small pictures that one could use to practice figure drawing. Instead, each page just has printed words describing a “tiny thing”. So instead of photos to copy it’s really just suggestions of what to draw. Not expensive but also not very useful or engaging.
Bought for my niece, she's 10 and loves to draw... She loved it so much! Also bought her the anime animals drawing book to go with it. She got it for Christmas and is still using it.
My daughter is going to love opening the sun Christmas attractive how to draw anime step-by-step .
I want they would have gone into more detailed steps. I don’t think this is a amazing book for beginners
Bought for my 9 year old granddaughter.I felt it could have gone into more detail or steps on how to draw .It might work for someone older.
